Even M7 Line has three versions: 1) Those with ordinary coupling cap 2) Those with black Kondo silver cap 3) Latest version with ANUK Jensen silver cap and detacheable power cord. |

| [#5165] NEC's Tannoy 15" RED party : ) Though we could not visit Anthony's place at Sai Kung, we ended up visiting NEC's place with a pair of LEAK TL/12.1 from Gingers, a pair of EICO HF-60 and an EICO HF-85 preamp from myself brought to NEC's place to partnering with NEC's own gears.. Thanks for NEC for the rides, warm hospitality, lovely music, homely place, and great lager beer yesterday! Thanks for the ride rendered by Xwh too! Thanks for the great company and chats with so many audio fans and gurus - diytfy, Gingers, M9, Lohping, YC, Mouton, Xwh, Albertino, Stone.. Most of us also continued the chats in dinner yesterday. I agree with diytfy's remarks in general, with the exception on one point that I prefer to have NO shunt-resistors used with the LEAK TL/12.1 when the FISHER 50C preamps, the 400CX-2, and the Audio Note M7 are used. These preamps are versatile and are good for driving the highly sensitive TL/12.1 (0.135V input for full output power). But with EICO HF-85 (high drive preamp), the shunt-resistors proved their positive use. I am now posting some photos taken yesterday for readers' amusement. Yesterday's journey started at my own place at 11:00 a.m. with M9 bought in his beloved AN M7 to try with my cloned LEAK TL/12.1. Almost immediately I found the AN M7 is a very musical and transparent sounding preamp. It has suitable drive for the cloned TL/12.1.  |

| [#5174] NEC's Tannoy 15" RED party : ) EICO HF-85 越十級與三大名器比較.. 音色與人聲不弱! 動態與控制力較 "猻". 背景寧靜度明顯不及三大名器(三者都是用上直流供電燈絲). 音量控制使用較不便.. 但二, 三百美金一部的 "85" 有上佳的 "膽" 音色, 已是無話可說了. ^______^  |
