[#41] What T-Amp is the best buy? Hi welborne, Sure the price is much reasonable but still not cheap, as the bare Charlize 2 PCB is ~HK$1k. Since you have the good Saba speakers to listen to the details, it really worths to spend the money as US$2xx is nothing in the high end world.

[#43] What T-Amp is the best buy? Hi T-amp friends, I am also waiting for my Charlize2 to come, should be anytime now :) I believe I have bought the last piece of alumnium-cased Charlize2 from yeo :) I also own a Trends TA10.1 which cannot sing now because I took something out from it and cannot solder them back yet :( . I powered the Trends with a 12v/7A sealed lead acid battery and recharge it every few days with a recharger. They function and sound alright, just don't have the looks. So if somebody is arranging a group purchase of the battery from Audiomagus, pls count me in. It seems that you can order the Powercenter without the battery inside so that shipping can be cheaper.

[#49] What T-Amp is the best buy? I didn’t know there are so many class T amp out there. I personally think this is a rock and roll amp, especially classic rock. I love my sonic impact for this type of music because I found it smoothen out sound greatly and nullify the edginess on some poor rock recording. Thus, very enjoyable on long haul classic rock session aka "I was pimp out". The guitar riffing are somewhat spiking form time to time which is also a positive enhancement for rock. However, on classical, the air and decay are lacking which make listening less enjoyable since it took out all the soul in this music genre. This problem seems to be magnified in chamber music. The sense of space is second tier comparing to my SE amp. I cannot feel the presence of a big music hall. There is no doubt the price itself is very attractive; it packages a lot of “red meat” for a very low price. The classical music reproduction somewhat brothers me with its musical presence, not to mention air and decay, but macro dynamics wise are slam dunking with no problem handling large scale orchestral music like Naxos Vaughn Williams Sym#7. I assume my wording are negative on classical, but it simply “kick ass” watt for watt. Kick even bigger ass watt/dollar wise. If you like "clean" sounding classical, you will probably love it. However, my biggest dilemma is my speaker which is truly 104 db sensitive, so I didn't know if the dynamics is coming form my speaker or the amp itself. But this is just my finding on the entry level sonic impact, I can only assume other more well build class d amps are much higher in resolution in terms of air and decay.

[#50] What T-Amp is the best buy? Hi jeffr33, If you have the 104dB speakers, using Sonic T-Amp is really a waste. If you can DIY, Charlize 2 is the best. If not, KingRex T20 is the second. Please read the review from 6-moons: http://www.6moons.com/audioreviews/kingrex/t20.html ![]()

[#51] What T-Amp is the best buy? Thanks for the tip. I cannot DIY form stretch, but if Charlize 2 comes in a KIT, then I can probably do it. Hope to see more info with Charlize 2. Cheers,

[#54] What T-Amp is the best buy? i knew the charlize2 is very good, but did not know it is THAT good, so good that it bested the Nelson Pass Zen amp kit.... Who else has Charlize2 here? and what other amps you have at the same time?

[#55] What T-Amp is the best buy? i also feel class-t or -D such as the charlize suits speakrs with crossover more than high sensitivity fullrange speakers due to high damping factors from these amp. When pairing with drivers that already has high self damping, especially those with super strong magnet and light cone, the bass tend to be overdamped and sound a bit lean, although very fast. Someone told me this can be remedied by adding a resistor to the speaker terminal/speaker connection, but I don't know the details, how and values of the resistors...anyone know more about this?

[#57] What T-Amp is the best buy? I drive the Orgue Diatone with the Charlize2 this afternoon and the Orgue owner came to listen and he likes it very much. He uses 211 single ended amp to drive his Orgue at home. So I think he must be quite impressed by the Charlize2 performance. I think I would order the Audiomagus SLA power supply soon.

[#58] What T-Amp is the best buy? Yes, I was auditioning the Orgue P610 Reference too with this T-amp and I must say I am surprised. I probably will get a set of Charlize2 to try it out, given the price of it is not expensive. I would think a linear power supply with fast and small caps is better than a switching power supply. Just my 2 cents...
