talking about readability of laser head. I have something to share, perhaps:-
These two original Hi-Fi discs are my favorites, very good recordings, guitar music, and most of all very musical from Japan King Studio. Costed me $150 each many many years ago. One thing strange, these discs can be played in normal domestic CD players flawlessly without any problem at all. But if you play them with your computer Roms, no matter it is a CD-Rom or DVD-Rom, problems come.

You will find the sound stops for a few seconds and then continues again(take note: without missing any part of the music, I am very familiar with every single note of each song, just simply delayed). That is totally unacceptable, right??, I guess out why it is?? Roms of computer cannot accept any ERROR readings, that is why the sound stop at intervals; the laser head of the rom keeps moving to and fro (that is the few seconds used)to read until a correct data is finally obtained. That is the biggest difference between computer Roms and domestic CD players. CD players have the error correction system that tends to replace incorrect datas received with dummy datas so as to keep the fluency of playing the CD without any delayed sound, otherwise, who will buy such a good CD player, will you?? These two discs, may have some digital errors inside, but who cares, as long as you don't play them with your computer.

Come back talking about the new flagship laser of Philips, the CDM-Pro2M LF, it is claimed to have much better readability and error correction system that came along with the laser head and the transport is a circuit board underneath. Is that the newly developed system concerning readability and error corrections that tends to reject playing some kind of not so good discs, who knows??To be fare enough, should we, all domestic users??

不是廠家瘋了, 是買家瘋了, perhaps, 名牌心理

It is Philips new Flagship CD-Pro2M-LF

邊度做冇關係, 最緊要是 tight quality control

也曾接觸過 D player 過萬幾英鎊, 即拾幾萬港紙, 用的也是普通 DVD 光頭, 一樣是好易壞, 咪一樣有人買。

過期運算器又係道挍挍震。發放錯悟訊息比D網支。
我有部Krell 的CPD,15年前都買咗HK$38xxx,過頭壞咗,現在修埋番。如果聽過期運算器講就慘喎。
