| [#42] Passive Pre amp 同好會 cityguy hing, Thanks for your follow-up post on the new MFA. It certainly looks nicer but, I have to say, for that money, one would expect even nicer cosmetic. This larger case looks like a borrowed idea from the reference series but with the round corners flattened. I think it would be cool if you can show some photos of the internal. I would be interested what has been changed in the transformer. I spend some considerable amount of time with a MFA Classic with Silver Transformer. TVC has some lovable qualities, once you hooked, it's hard for you to let go. My challenge with TVC is sometime, you would love to have more blood and body in your music. TVC sometime sounds too holy.... if you know what I mean. BTW, I found that the MFA TVC needs long break in time. Are you currently using the new MFA? |

It is dual mono and have 2 transformer outputs..and also XLR input and output!!It is only $3900..However, the last demo unit has been taken by an audiophile so it has to only accept pre-order..They said it needs 1 week to order..I saw many people have placed order for that!! |

| [#60] Passive Pre amp 同好會 I consider Music First Audio is the pinicle of pre-passive amp development today employing the Swiss Elma switches, Steven and Billington transformers and all handcrafted in UK. They are expensive products when comparing with local made or those from Malaysia but their popular TVC model worths the asking when considering the sonic quality and material in use. The Classic is asking over $20K and the MKII is over $40K if new. Silver wound TVC is more. They are selling their reference model at GBP10000 !!! Those have interest may check their web-site for demo unit usually selling at lower rate. The passive pre can work almost life time. If one looks for the best passive pre amp on earth today, here it is, I suggest look no further. Again, don't blame me sounds like a salesman, I bought both of their Classic and Mark II models and I can fully recommend their products to anyone today providing your system is perfectly fit for passive pre. I don't work for audio company and never make any penny from Music First Audio. |
