There is fundamental different, in term of sound characteristic, between M30 and non-monitor line. C7ES3 is more relax and laidback soundstage. On the other hand, M30 has higher sound density and laid-forwards sound-stage. As a result, M30 seems to be more 'aggressive'. So you need to pay attention on matching. In return, it can give you an illusion that your are 'there'. I will discuss more in the conclusion part. |

| [#42] Harbeth M30 ( 30th signature limited editi 曾經是7ES-II的用家, 亦曾在rover901兄府上作客。感覺上新的7ES-III是介乎M30和7ES-II之間。現在7ES-III的聲音比7ES-II較solid和較快, 稍減了7ES-II的嬌柔, 使7ES-II更準確和全面, 但亦有人喜歡7ES-II的韻味。 小弟現用SHL-5, 音場方面, 可能SHL-5音箱最大(不計M40), 場面亦最大, C7次之, M30再次之。但礎儤e容度則SHL-5最差。經驗上SHL-5離後牆真的不能少於1米, 否則不單破壞音場營造, 甚至連音色的tonal balance亦被破壞。 曾經站在喇叭後聽聲音, 發覺隨了能量較弱外, 音色細節上竟無甚改變, 有點像小弟以往玩鋁帶高音的前後發聲效果, 這類喇叭一般對後牆空間要求極高。 至於7ES-III, 上次在rover901兄府上的經驗, 離場約1呎已有不錯的效果, tonal balance亦不受影響。M30作為monitor serious, 相信礎麆暋D更少。這2對啦叭小弟覺得甚適合香港一般客廳礎, 分別只是口味吧了。 |

| [#43] Harbeth M30 ( 30th signature limited editi 總結： 喜歡那一對喇叭，取決於 1. 個人口味； 2. 聆聽環境大小； 3. 其他器材的配搭； 4. 牌子、價錢、其他…… 如果你主要聽人聲（尤其係女聲）和小提琴一類的音樂，而間中亦聽pop music，Pure-malt應可令你喜出望外。如果你的聆聽面積不太大，相信連orchestra之類的音樂，亦能處理好。以4K不到的價錢，實在超值到無話可說。當然，要給它4至5 個月時間run-in。配搭方面，Jeff Rowland係一個佳配，其他中高夠幼細而power不弱的機種亦應相配，至於細瓦數膽機，相信未必能發揮Pure-malt的全部實力。請不要因其低廉的身價而看不起它。就算你已有一對十分全面的喇叭，買多對Pure-malt閒時拿來聽聽女聲、小提琴亦是賞心悅事，而且所費無幾。Sorry，這次一定被罵hard sell，Sorry, sorry…. 如果你喜歡較清淡、較laid-back的表現手法，又或喜歡很sharp的image，Cello 的Elvis絕對不能錯過。播放Classic（由Violin，到Piano，到orchestra）都是其強項。相信從配搭amplifier處下手，應可改善其適應性，例如，用中音更厚、低音更powerful的機種，應可改善其播Rock/pop music的表現。 至於Harbeth Monitor30 (30th SLE)是這次group test中，表現最全面的speaker。當然喜歡與否仍取決於個人口味。M30不楓衽onitor speaker，它有很強的臨場感，很真實，給你有置身錄音室表演場地的感覺。這些全都建基於其高聲音密度，較laid-forward的表現手法，而最難得係其中音人聲十分靚，不會像一般monitor speaker般無感情。高音幼細度方面或酗峇ㄓWPure-malt或Cello，但從接線處入手，是可以有所改善的。而配搭方面，Jeff Rowland有足夠的power去發揮其中低音，而Jeff Rowland的幼細高音亦令M30有更好的高音表現，得到更好的平衡度。 其實所有group test 都不可能只有單一贏家，始終冇一對喇叭可以滿足所有人所有環境配搭，最重要係玩得開心。順從喇叭的特性去配搭、去發揮，當然更容易得到滿足感；但挑戰難度，用非一般的配搭手法，過中亦樂趣無窮。所以絕對冇話那一個是對，那一個是錯的配搭。 |

Audio note Lexus c. AQ Cheetah d. vdH MC silver Mark II 那一條更能發揮M30呢？ 3. Since Monitor 30 is designed for broadcast and studio usage, I think studio cable synergizes its monitor character and strengths. Having tried various mogami, canare & sommer. I highly recommend Belden 8761. Key in "belden 8761 console" in google, you will find the cable is the most common cable used for connecting console to active monitor in studio. |

| [#52] Harbeth M30 ( 30th signature limited editi 對不起，因為最近太忙，所以遲遲未能完成Supernait的報告。 老實講，本人對Naim的認識並不深，只是係試聽Harbeth時聽過Nait5i及122x + 150x，另外八月中在Radar聽過Supernait推ProAc D38。Nait5i 推M30的表現，老實講係令人失望的。要到122x + 150x才能發揮M30的實力。但相比起用Jeff Rowland推M30(LE)，122x + 150x還有一段距離，Jeff Rowland高班很多，當然價錢亦相差一半。但Supernait推M30(LE)竟然…… 從外貌說起… 當日朋友連盒帶機搬來舍下，第一樣吸引住我的，就係那個白色的紙盒，不知怎的，總覺得這個白色紙盒真的很漂亮。然後把主角supernait搬出來。有人覺得Naim的外貌很平實，我就覺得Supernait的外貌很cool，尤其當綠燈荌_時。Remote 係一個多弁跫emote，無Jeff Rowland的簡若remote般吸引。 軟件… 當日用朋友帶來的Macbook，他的music library 主要係人聲，包括本地pop music，亦有少量classic。全部都是用apple loseless格式。頭半個鐘讓Supernait熱身，我們就討論Supernait的可行upgrade方案，Naim亦真是十分懂得做生意，Supernait有很多方法upgrade，包括加Power supply （多種）及power amp。正式試聽時，主要都是聽人聲，用了大約一個半小時，最後十五分鍾才聽了少量Violin, piano 及中樂。當日並無即時駁回Jeff Rowland作比較。 |

| [#53] Harbeth M30 ( 30th signature limited editi 部Supernait在朋友家中長茪F大約十天，用作聽音樂亦超過三十小時。試聽當天先熱身半小時，然後正式試聽。 一切從Belafonte開始… 當天試聽的第一張CD係Belafonte的Returns to Carnegie Hall，先播A hole in the bucket，出色！人聲中氣十足，結像sharp，歌手的移動、位置亦清楚交代，現場感強，把M30(LE)的優點完全表現出來。感覺上結像竟然比Jeff Rowland還sharp細？！因無即時比較，所以並非百分百肯定。Jeff Rowland推M30(LE)能營造出一個寬大的音場（十分驚人那種），相對地Supernait加M30的音場就較窄，不過亦絕對可以收貨。接蚥他a Bamba，甚少可以聽完整首八分鐘，可見supernait + M30之出色，尤其後段十分熱鬧部份，絕對係Supernait + M30之強項，令你都想起身一齊跳。可反影出supernait的瞬變快，中低至低頻段十分出色。 繼續這種mood，跟住上場的係Santana的supernatural，聽完Smooth及Maria Maria後可以肯定，Supernait的中低至低比Jeff Rowland還要結實，Supernait的80W竟然贏Jeff Rowland的200W，利害利害。 至於女聲亦絕無問題，一樣出色，當中選播了的發燒女聲包括Kidd姐的When I dream，林志美的The circle game，黃紅英的初次嘗到寂寞等等。播童聲亦一樣出色，例如Hugo的歌聲與微笑，阿陶的加了蜜。 人聲絕對係Supernait的強項。當天已由試機變成欣賞不同的人聲CD。機主向我推介了很多出色本地歌手，例如泳兒，Solar，Black Box等。真係估唔到這些不太熟識的本地歌手的錄音都相當出色，發燒友都無需只聽李克勤，張學友了。 For completion sake，最後十五分鐘聽了幾首Classic。包括Midori的Encores，Violin係可收貨的，當然你不能要求Supernait有Jeff Rowland般的幼細高音。Piano的重播亦唔錯。最後播的係楊春白雪，我還是第一次聽這首曲目（真失禮），Supernait重播這些orchestral works絕對有板有眼。 總結… 整體表現出色，重播各類音樂都無問題，人聲尤其出色。以30K的身價竟然能和貴接近三倍的Jeff Rowland互有輸贏，實在利害。難怪可以如此暢銷，落定都要一個月後才有貨交。 後話… 本人會否買Supernait呢？有一刻的衝動，但因我主要聽Violin及piano，其次才是人聲，還是Jeff Rowland較適合。如果你主要聽人聲，Supernait會係best buy。 友人會否買Harbeth M30呢？他說會考慮，但會試聽完ProAc D28後再算。 |
