but the sound cannot complain, the CDtse+dacX sing so beautiful! very fine re-solution, wide sound stage and indulgent! You will fall into the music very easily. I compare it with Naim X2 (a bit narrow sound stage and timing so so), Esoteric X05 (not musical enough and so tire if long listening) and audionet G2 (too cool), a sure winner in both musical and dynamic.

Just my own opinion...

The look is not so attractive! Cyrus should think to improve the metal case design! Nowaday, people are not just buying the quality of music but also the touch and visual impact!

However, their case design is quite logical. The metal case is single pc aluminum alloy which can reduce the magnetic field and mechanical vibration. (Not many brands can do that unless spending 5 times more like the Linn). The narrower width case also further strengthen the structure even using a thinner metal thickness. Thinner metal case can produce a more lively sound that mean more musical. (this is different direction of Japanese made CD player, thats why their sound a bit mechanical)

I can say the factory is quite smart in mechanical engineering. They can spare the money to do the R&D in sevro development which very few company can achieve. That's why it can keep the price low but achieve sound quality better than others with 3 times cash more.

I also very appreciate that they can upgrade your old model into the existing version by sending to their company with little cost. Coz' they share the same metal case.

But I still want them to improve the look to meet the expectation of the customer.

The Cyrus Tse + Dac X is my favourite! Take a audition! Match with Elac BS247 speaker is very frank to tell you the nature of the CD player. The Cyrus amp are so so. But Jaxx is right, the dealer is not very keen to promote the gear. It is not easy to find in shops.

yes, Cyrus electronic was very good.
But from Cyrus 3 onwards, it becomes poor and poor in term of cost to performance.
How smart is the designer to make the case as a big heat sink.
How smart it used as less internal wire it can.
How compact it is.
It may be too simple to somebody, but the task of a amplifier is to magnify sound only. Not for "look" or smoothen the source.

As I lsiten to the cyrus, I think his cd player is much outstanding than his amp. His newly developed servo, it may only be found in 10 times more gear of other brands. Less reading error, less correction required by heavy compensation. It makes the circuit simple and direct, and so accurate.
Yes, it is true, spayder hing! If they upgrade the outlook and then they will sure charge you double. As a listener, it seems better to keep the existing.

Thanks for your advise ttyau!
My 10+ old Cyrus Discmaster has been mod by me personally. A new clock, super-regulators at critical stages, blackgates, bnc connectors etc. All in all, it makes the Reimyo sings like it should. The reason I retain the old Discmaster is that it runs on a Philips CDM9Pro - a radial tracking laser and a Hall motor.

I finally can listen the cyrus xtse in Mega box. I listen it with its amp. and compare it with the Accuphase CD player. I find it a little less clear than accuphase one but much sweeter and musical. The dynamic is better too! I look forward to listen it with Cyrus Dac but unfortunately not in this showroom.

Hi....any C hing is able to advise on this? I put aside of Cam 640A amp after having Cyrus Pre-amp + 8 power. Is there any chance the Cam 640A amp could be used as 後級?

Spyder hing, i am newbie on this and can you elaborate more of how it works if bi-amp?
I don't think my 640c v2 is bad before upgrade to cyrus and now, just try to have more fun if it could be added to current system, instead of having another cyrus power cube.

So any suggestion to utilize the equipment are welcome!
