Interesting, took me 20 mins reading about what is the floating point wav.

For recording that is significantly better than 24 bits fix point , as mathematically , the way the number is represented and read by the computer of floating point having a huge dynamic range...etc..talking about 770db of headroom storage space..., i.e. a floating point recording chain for 1812 ....no compressor and limiter is needed at the raw data.... For data preservation stand point , greatttttttttt


Especially storage capacity is relatively cheap
