| [#7567] 回覆(40):Classical Fans Another big bargain I found in HMV is that they are selling some budget boxset (10CDs), a german label called Membran Music reissuing some EMI artists recordings in 1940s-50s (the time bar for exclusive copyright ownership is usually 50 years in accordance with EU and US laws, other mini labels can remaster whatever they like after the ownership is expired), I bought some jazz artists such as Miles Davis, Nat king Cole and also inevitably some classical artists such like Maria Callas and Edith Piaf at HK$128 each, brothers! the sound quality is gorgeous although most boxsets encloses recordings made in 1930s-50s! The Callas boxset particularly catch my sight because it encloses some unreleased live recordings of Callas when she performed in Canada in 1953-55, I believe that some are archives of Canada Broadcast Company, are you interesting?
