[#61] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 ncwah ching, I didn't check teddy's product price and calculate the cost of it. Yes, four PCBs inside. I use all expensive items that I can find, I think teddy's cost is lower than me, so no reference to you at all. My guess is that he should earn 30/70, not 70/30 (raw material 30%, other cost (e.g. labor cost, logistic) and profit is 70%)... May be u misunderstand his meaning.

[#62] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Further more, Teddy suggest using 4700uF max for the cap, and he uses bridge rectifier. He also use all SMD for resistors and capacitors. Even the 22uF cap, I believe he uses SMD now. Dont misunderstand, I think SMD is no problem. It is cheaper in cost and it is more easy to be manufactured by machines. So overall the material cost and manufacturing cost is much lower than my DIY.

[#64] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 You are welcome ncwah ching. Sorry to greek you as those technical things help you more understand on the difference between my DIY and Teddy's product (if you know those tech terms) I think the biggest problem to my DIY (if the electronic components are alright) is the grounding issue. Right now, I connect the "green" line of power cord to the case, but I have following options for grounding of other parts: 1. Separate/Common ground for each four DC output? 2. Separate/Common ground for the ground of PCB and the case? This is a big problem to my PSU because compare to Teddy's product, my PSU serves several devices, their electronic ground MUST not be same level, and they may/may not connected in other mean (e.g. via the RCA cable / Network cable / USB cable). So should I connect these GND lines inside the PSU or just leave them float? Right now, I let them float...

[#65] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Beeos Hing, Good luck to your PSU making. Pls let us know when your psu has settled all the problems.

[#66] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 well, those are not problem, I just "wonder" if I not float the grounds... Some hifi gear has a switch to "float" or "connect" the circuit ground to the case. I think this is a fancy thing to add, but I would not do this in the meantime. Anyway, I will keep them float because I guess it will have ground looping noise if I connect them together. 最後修改時間: 2012-12-14 00:26:20

[#67] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 My Teddy PSUs for all my routers and modem are on the way. 2 outputs on each PSU. Next will be one for Unitiserve and one for the NAS.

[#69] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 whizmika hing, can't see any info in Teddy's website about the psu with 2 outputs(usually each psu with one output only), is it tailor made for you by your order and spec? BTW, any good to use teddy's psu on modem and router as they are not hifi gears? Thanks for sharing.

[#71] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Just done a test this morning (on leave today) AB test: 1. with stock PSU for dacmagic+ only >> Can't use stock PSU anymore, left and right speaker "sing" on their own, no focus, very obvious for vocal. After using DIY PSU, the female voice is more pin point, and bass sound more well defined. But still, the image is flat and lack of dynamic, can't expect too much for a 4k DAC. 2. with my another DIY PSU, for SBT+sotm >> My first DIY PSU also linear kind, however, it connects many things like NAS, modem, hubs, etc. That makes lot of noise. Such noise is not easy audible before without compare with this second PSU. Using the teddy diy psu, I can say, it is dark background. Very comfort and musical sound. 最後修改時間: 2012-12-14 13:52:32

[#72] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Well, it's the beauty and the strong point of Teddy for being the darkest background of most power supplies in the market.

[#74] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Whizmika Hing, Teddy Pardo is really a nice and considerate seller, he will reply your mail within 24 hours. Once he advised me not to buy his teddycap, for buying a dualcap would be good enough to drive my naim pre82 if I am not ready to climb the upgrade laddar of buying 52 or 252 later.

[#75] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Teddy cap is a good product. The quality is as good as if not better than hi cap non dr version but don't get teddy xps because you will be so disappionted. Teddy's ability is limited to teddy cap and teddy super cap for now.

[#76] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 ptcm hing, Of course we won't think Teddy's products are invincible! Do you have any unpleasant experience with Teddy XPS? And what to team up with it? Pls share. Previously I used it to team up with CDX2 and now with S3, the sound was/is terrific and no regret at all though I never had a Naim's XPS to compare with.

[#77] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 I am a CDX2 user. Have tried BOTH Naim XPS2 and TeddyXPS. I bought the TeddyXPS brandnew from Pardo. It has literally done nothing to CDX2 in my opinion. I sold it within one month. I sincerely advise brothers here not to touch this product. You're better off spending the money on a hi-line or pay a little more for a used XPS2. XPS2 has completely transformed the CDX2 to a different machine. You have to try it to believe. Your jaws will drop to the floor. TeddyXPS does not even come close. no doubt. I am referring to CDX2/XPS2 combo. 最後修改時間: 2012-12-17 13:07:41

[#78] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 Wouldn't it be too hasty to sell the teddy xps within one month? I am afraid it hadn't fully been run in to show its full potential yet. It takes 3 weeks for my newly bought TeddyDac to be initially warm up and now 6 weeks already to really come on song. Anyway, no offence intended to your experience on that.

[#79] Teddy Power Supplies 同好會 My experience is confirmed by my friends who used it for over a year. If compared with XPS2, no contest whatsoever. TeddyXPS gets killed big time. I am very glad that I don't own it anymore.
