| [#62] EL34/6550/KT88/KT90/KT90/KT150 tubes The one pair KT150 with 150w output per channel with bias only 60mA in class AB The single ended one piece KT150 with 30w output per channel with bias 100mA in class A 400 - 500 w power transformer is ok in both cases. |

| [#64] EL34/6550/KT88/KT90/KT90/KT150 tubes The typical efficience of Pure Class A single ended tube power amp is about 25% and the standby power consumption is 50%; as a result, if 250w power transformer is used in your amp, the maximum continous consumption go up to 200w is the limit, than the pure class A output by any tubes is 25w, and the standy power consumption is 100w plus the tube heaters filament (9w for each KT150) Whenever you change the power tubes, the first time must be done by manual adjustment, than you will find out any defective tubes. |
