| [#84465] *** JAZZ 同好會 *** if viewing from resolution is related to sampling rate Analog music production involving analog transistors is always higher resolution than digital conversion process I would believe, there are person (me too) do feel that Analog can be viewed as ditigal too , analog transistors is a source dependant sampling rate device, i.e. it on and off depending on the music Digital process on / off sampling at a fix interval So analog is digital too , Some purely valve device can have no switching and it is a truth continuous process.. Back into what Paul said, the truth is..when making any recording including CD , we all need to bring up the low level signal to higher level ,in order for hearing that in order to hear that within the room or headset etc.. (system, room noise related ) I guess may be only some kind of solo instrument for some less dynamic less contrast musical passage , need no compression , other than that , all have the need of compressors CD or vinyl ... Sample rate point of view analog vintage recording with valve equipment processing , may be higher than any other, a truth continuous process...until it was made into the tape..however there are valve based tape machine back into the date too However..bass content is always reduced or reshape at vinyl too... In this prospective . CD is higher..etc.. Acoustic instrument... Electronic generated tone..
