| [#9331] LS3/5A Club I must be the least qualified person for LS3/5a in here (Only 2 pairs and all are 11ohm Rogers!). So far I like EL84 and KT66 single PP tube amps to be my perfect match for the LS3/5a. SE amps are somehow not quite 'right' and even 300B PP does not match well with LS3/5a. The sound is too 'gentle' and not dynamic enough. Just my 2 cents worth... |

| [#9332] LS3/5A Club I almost entirely agree with Yukclee. EL34 is also one suitable type of tube for LS3/5A, but very different in sonic character in comparison with EL84 and KT66. I actually like KT66 amps best driving this inefficient babies. EL84 PP is marginally powerful enough. EL84 PPP is better. :) |

| [#9343] LS3/5A Club Dear Richard Hing and DD Hing 各人對音響喜好和理念也不同！其實用Eico HF-35也好, 300B也好只要自己耳仔收貨玩得開心便行！其實器材很多時候也及不上調教音響技術和經驗重要，對音樂理解和對聲音意識更是缺一不可。就好像有錢買靚車並不代表有良好駕駛技術，駕駛技術始終是要不斷努力練習一點一滴地累積下來的！ 我們用有限時間，地方和金錢玩音響，其實音響世界真是博大精深，玩得越耐才會了解我們自己真正的不足。就算我們窮一生之力也沒有可能完全了解音響世界的所有奧祕。正所謂一山還有一山高，現在回望舊日的自己才是真正的"井底之蛙"！但廿年後回望今日的自己又會否說同一番話呢？ 日本人愛用"幽玄"這個字形容音響世界，中文的意思是"深不可測"。我認識台灣，日本，美國，韓國和香港也有不少真正高手，但可惜他們大部份都低調得很。我師傅以前對我說太高調的話會有很多敵人，但太低調的話很多好的東西便會漸漸消失。 Best regards Alan |
