| [#87] Usher S520 speaker Just bought a pair of S-520 from Taipei, Cherry Wood finish. Only NT$4800 (approx HK$1200, also they have black & yellow available (NT$5800) but I like the wood veneer instead). Quite heavy but acceptable (provided that I didn't travel by Taxi, neither in Taipei nor Hong Knog... MTR (捷運) from Usher Showroom to Taipei Train Station, Coach to Taipei Airport, Airport Bus from HK Airport to home (NT)). Will "boil" it right the way! |

| [#88] Usher S520 speaker 我也在前幾日出差台北時買了對鋼琴黑色S-520，打算切套經濟組合送給一位親戚聽歌仔． 剛剛貪得意駁上家中用開的set-up，試試大power推它的效果． S-520的高低頻伸展是明顯輸給用開的大型座地喇叭，但定位算唔錯，隨便擺擺已開始甩箱，而且音場深度幾明顯．人聲不算甜滑，可能是未run-in好，相信用耐ｄ會有改善． 整體而言，已零售價不用HK$1.5K（= NT$5.8K）來評價，S-520的表現是極之超值，用來聽聽歌仔，或動態不是那麼大的音樂是非常稱職． |

| [#93] Usher S520 speaker By the way, they may ask you whether you intend to use it in Taiwan or bring them back to HK. If you tell them the truth they will tear the Usher markings from the packing box to avoid trouble with the HK reseller, just say you will use them in Taiwan. |

| [#95] Usher S520 speaker Sorry for late reply, as my experience on 22-Oct-09, they only got Black / Cherry Veneer in stock. And I honestly told them I'm from Hong Kong, they didn't tear off any Usher Markings & serving me politely, anyway the guys in the shop are very nice (but seems not very pofessional because when they test the speakers for me they switched the volume loudly ... you know the speakers are new & "un-boiled" ... oh my god then I told them it's ok to re-pack it) At 西門叮, the shop is close to 西門叮捷運站 (＜10 mins), just accross the road of / exactly facing "Wonster Hotel 萬事達旅店". |

| [#97] Usher S520 speaker IMHO, S-520 is a very good budget speaker, especially if purchased at Taiwan retail price. However, it is definitely not a "giant-killer" that can out-performance established benchmarks such as Proac 1SC, or even small ATC/PMC, etc. Limited bass aside, its biggest problem is its fairly low sensitivity, making them sound a bit dull when played at low sound level, while drawing quite a bit of current when played loud, which will probably cause the pressumably inexpensive amplifier, with which such budget speakers are usually matched, to clip and cause distortion. 最後修改時間: 2009-10-26 22:24:47 |

| [#100] Usher S520 speaker I strong agree with the comment from 嚦嚦二世. I have been using this speaker for a year. It is best buy, but it is not giant killer. The mid range is still missing after one year burn in. And it needs very big power amp to push it for a nice sound. Still it cannot beat those British speakers in the markets. |
