Not close to good,as far as the w&f % is quite high， but good progress for the day 1

'haha', from the photo, i think you still have the transport screw fastened! unscrew it and let the motor mount spring do its job. Pull off the bottom plastic cap and give the whole spindle bearing and the inside a good clean. if you don't get a new thrust plate then just reverse/turn it over as there has to be a little dimple developed from all these years of pressure acting on it.

i cannot rate the lenco stock arm so no comments :-)

oh, when dismantling the spindle bearing assembly, be extra careful when you use a nose plier to take out the circular clip, it could fly off and you'll never find it! i'm talking from experience, ？

Yes. Did not know those red screws for ...until trouble shooting for rumble.and noise..for a few hours..I then read the manual carefully...haha , never really to some golden advice.. READ Manual first hahahaahahahaaha

And have order one set of ceramic bearing and 2 little plate...for rmb 75, why not for rmb 75, then I do proper cleaning

As the original ball bearing ..the surface se to had worn

Things to learn..and am getting a L78 SE today too

Thx so much for pointing me to a right path

And having my junior engineer working on that simple tonearm for fun

And inspired by a video from fotheringhay, seem it is not too hard to make a retrofit arm tube too

But ...feel the original first...before I make any mod haha

While I am a bit lazy on the lenco

I buy that today (cannot resist.. As quite cheap and decent Outlook, even It was not working at all, but a bit of luck.. After 6 hours.. Get it working and sort of stable speed now

In short..lenco are smarter for the driving mechanism

fixing those things..., having different viscosity of lubricant around is essential

it was drop down like a hammer..., now sort of smooth now

took me almost 1.5 hours to understand that part of mechanism..and 15 mins fix
