A mixer to be used as a pre-amp but it should not be considered as a straight line pre-amp which hi end audiophiles are concerned. How is the sound quality compare to your other hi end pre-amps? Actually I also ordered a Mackie mixer which I am going to used it to set up a home studio for musical recording but I would also like to use it as a pre-amp in my low end stereo system. I do not have any experience to use a mixer before. I learn from your picture, your mixer looks like it is a professional grade mixer, is it a Revox, EMT or Studer? |

| [#96] Any Fanling or Sheung Shui hifi friends 4 I don't have any concern to use a mixer as a preamp cause I am not a hi-end audiophile ! :P It depends on what you like and what you choose, just like people prefer to use tube or solid state.
