| [#118] 最近尋寶嘅收穫 Yeah,, Genesis ,,, is very very good speaker. X2 It was established by Arnie Nudell, the guy who designed the IRS series of Infinity. In the era of your speakers, Genesis speakers all feature a very nice circular ribbon tweeter and cylindrical cabinets that avoid standing waves. Later on, they went on to develop bigger systems (including a couple that resembles the IRS). I think Nudell may no longer be with them, but their current stuff are pretty good, too. | [#119] 最近尋寶嘅收穫 Hi guys......thanks for the comment and the link. I will go through it learn more about the speakers. The only recollection I have of these speakers is the advertisement in Hi-Fi Review back in early 90s Yes. I think I am lucky to get the speakers as they sound really good; it has quite a bit of bass for its size as well. The seller kept telling me how lucky I am to get such a good deal (speakers + stands). For the price I paid, it is indeed a good deal but the speakers have a lot of scratches on top. I am still researching on how to repair piano black. It seems like a lot of work. I am not sure if I have the know how to do it. I guess I just enjoy the music and forget about its appearance. |
