The compliance figures for AT and Denon cartridges are measured at 100Hz so they should be multiplied by a value between 1.5 to 2 or dividing the static compliance by 2 to get rough estimations at 10Hz. According to Warp Engine Stylus Cantilever Tonearm Mechanics calculator provided by Luckydog on vinylengine, the calculated resonance for the AT 33EV is 5.71Hz and the Denon 103R is 14.18 Hz, so both cartridges are not compatible with the Ittok. http://www.luckydog.demon.co.uk/images/warpengine00.xls |

Also I have 11 AT and 8 Denon cartridges in my possession, hence I have their supplied specifications on hand to verify that. | [#1195] 黑膠新手，從何入手? kcc, I am always fond of the OC9 and I have been using the Mark II and III with my Ittok with many good listening hours. I have also used the MC20 Supreme with both my Ittok and Helius Aureus I(supposedly on bar or even better than Ittok). Co-incidentally they have both been suggested in your link. I once used a 103R but I was never happy with the result. It didn't seem to match well with my EAR 834P and the sound seems like a rough diamond which needs a lot of polishing(tweaking) to get the best out of it. | [#1196] 黑膠新手，從何入手? Hi Chi, The 103 or103R needs a heavy arm to perform at its best; one with an effective mass of 20 grams is the minimal requirement. The Ittok is about 12 grams so it is not an ideal match though it still works adequately. My 103R has been modified and housed in an aluminium body which lifts its performance to a higher level.
