For me the sound is quite O.K. la, but it seem the songs is a bit boring, Personally I prefer Thom Rotella Band. But if you really like this LP, I will pass it to you next week, so you will not be alone any more. |

| [#1251] 大家的LP系統 Hi Yoda & Conde hing, Thanks for asking. Am slowly settling down after moving house earlier this year and starting a new job in October. Setup is more or less the same as before but performance has suffered since I did not go to the expense of rewiring my home like the last place and have not been as enthusiastic as before therefore setup is just so-so...also because only have time for a brief listen during the weekends (due to early bedtime arising from early start at new job)...will elaborate during our next gathering. Speaking of which, perhaps Foxtan hing can be so kind to wave the flag this time (as usual)...see whether we can get Alex (Man Bor hing) as well as ZeeZee to turn up as well! p.s. Conde-hing, never even heard of SD-909 gold, must be really rare, I've only owned 909 Mk 1 and 2... |

| [#1255] 大家的LP系統 Tony: Dave just called me the acrylic platter arrived, look exactly as the the photo?? (matt at label area and glossy at groove area) The SRM Silicone Mat alone can be purchase from Sonata Club at $500 (old price, dunno now). For the ease of care, I give to 10 thumbs up as very good anti-statics properties and cleaning is easy, good grip with the LP so the speed is more stable and coupled with the platter better. Soundwise, just subtle difference from felt mat from rega, both give mellow and warmer tone when compared with no mat installed, but sadly speaking the felt mat of rega get static easily in winter, which will lift up with the LP together, and attract and contain a lot of dust, and more take them for cleaning, it will deform and loose it's roundness. Your P7 come will cock mat or felt mat? |

| [#1257] 大家的LP系統 hercules, yes, dave's platter is the same as your photo. my p7 also come with wool felt mat..... silicone one price 500 in sonata, it seems almost the same in the e-bay, i just wonder the acrylic mat is good or not...otherwise will go for the silicone on sonata club. imo, the best way is clean the lp with the my cleaning machine to stop the static. the nitty gritty cleaning fuild is good on this. |
