The reason I want to put an arm on the turntable is that the TT came without the original tonearm already and the selling price is unbbelivably cheap, with TT function properly and outlook of the wooden plinth looks nice. So I think it is worthwhile to install an arm to make it sing. The money spent with such project will probably be more or less the price one can get on the market for buying the PL 50II. | [#1256] 黑膠新手，從何入手? rdmhk 兄: 睇漏左你指既 space is 80mm .... 應該係tonearm base 既直徑, 對吧? 咁既情況下, 卡尺只能幫你找出tonearm base 既準確直徑(準確至0.1mm), 至於spindle to tonearm pivot 呢一段, 一般既卡尺, 正如黃兄所指出, 要麼難找, 要麼很貴.... 另:請教黃兄, 一般見有朋友將Technics SL-1200 系的唱盤, 換上SME/ Rega 臂, 那麼他們是如何量度出臂板安裝唱臂呢? 小弟不是想換臂, 只是想知多一點點. 有勞指教. |

We may search the below information online for a particular tonearm: 1) Spindle-to-pivot 2) Effective Length 3) Overhang Then compare them with the TT, we may "roughly" tell if it fits or not before making any buying decision. To examine closer, however, we have to check the design underneath of the armbase, compare with the arm hole and space available on the plinth, we may tell how easy or difficult when we mount the tonearm on the TT.
