You'll need to wait for Spotify Windows app to support WASAPI in order to bypass the OS mixer. The same reasoning applies to Spotify app running on Android hardware with direct output instead of Spotify Connect - the sound quality is degraded by Android OS mixer. Compared to Android USB output to USB DAC, iPad / iPhone USB output to USB DAC is much better for Spotify Lossless. To confirm bit perfect transmission, play a MQA album to a MQA USB DAC. If the streamer supports Spotify Lossless operation, the qualiy setting will not be greyed out / unselectable. It must allow you to choose Lossless. If it doesn't, then your streamer is not running a firmware that supports Spotify Lossless.
