| [#7] Class A 對決 - Luxman 590AII vs Accuphase E-5 Agree more or less with Accudude Both are excellent products and all depends on what you use it with (music you like, speakers, source etc.) , and both are much better deal in terms of workmanship, value for money and ease of use compared to US or European class A amps like Sugden (not bad in itself, just remember in US and UK, Luxman or Accuphase sells for 2x more!) or Musicaly Fidelity (YUCK) Accuphase is for those who listen with their mind, Lux is for those who listen with their soul. Strengths Accu - slightly better bass control (tighter), more crystaline highs, wider soundstage, better resale value. More suited for BUT NOT LIMITED TO classical / "big music". Lux - glorious midrange, high density full sound, deeper soundstage, more "organic". More suited BUT NOT LIMITED TO for jazz / vocals. Weaknesses Accu - little more "clinical" compared to the Lux. Lux - not as controlling with hard to drive speakers. lower resale value. If you are a wine drinker, Accu is like a Pinot Noir, Lux a Cabernet sauvignon from the same region. Accudude obviously prefers Accu, I on the other hand, prefers the Lux. I think Accu impresses and surprises while Lux seduces and melts your heart, but both are very musical. good listening! |
