| [#57] JRiver Media Center 與 foobar my crash and import files (very slow) problems with JRiver are now solved. I know what is going on. The problems lies within the file format that I have used. I used to rip Applelossless using iTunes. The .m4a files are not so welcomed by JRiver. Hence, it takes hours to import them. Also, when I switch from songs to songs, JRiver will sometimes crashed. I guess FLAC is much better to be used by JRiver. |

| [#56] JRiver Media Center 與 foobar Got it. Apology if you found offended by my msg. I trust Accuraterip test passed files means they are identical, be it ripped by EAC or dbpoweramp. I personally had not go try to figure out if they sound different or not, as I am not a believer of they would sound differently. If someone have time, I am happy to learn their blind test results to see if they can really scientifically spot the difference. Regarding Linn, I am a believer in their DS player sound very good, and I am also very bought in their active speaker configuration. But not the local agents saying dbpoweramp ripped files sound better than EAC if both are accuraterip tested identical. But I respect their enthusiasm to bring the best to their clients and potential clients. |

I have asked a question but NOT accused that Accuraterip being meaningless! I have both EAC & dBpoweramp. Ripping by both of them with Accuraterip is fast & should generate identical files. However, the sound of these files are different. You may try & tell us whether you have similar experience as mine. In fact, Linn's HK dealer previously used EAC but now has ripped all their music files by dBpoweramp because they say that the result by dBpoweramp is better. |

| [#54] JRiver Media Center 與 foobar CKKeung, As far as I know most (if not all) of my audiophile friends are furnishing and at the same time benefiting from benchmarking their rips with Accuraterip. You may know how many audiophiles are using EAC or dBpoweramp which are both Accuraterip compatible rippers. So your assumption on they are all average joes and accusing the test is meaningless didn't quite hold. If you are foobar2000 user, one simple thing you can check is to compare your ripped files with Accuraterip. If yours are audiophile enough, I bet you will have good results from the tests. |

Are these files ripped carefully by audiophiles using good CD-drives & good ripping softwares? Can they be just some music files casually ripped by non-audiophiles? | [#45] JRiver Media Center 與 foobar MDLP兄 又唔洗打晒成船人. 我都係用近重型CAS,幾年前的過期CPU PD950 3.4G,4G Ram ,過期P35旗艦大板,過期兩張X1900 Display. 現在聲音非常出色,好多朋友聽完都有意思砌部大, 因分柝力,動態比他們的機仔出色好多,由期是低頻動態,音場廣散力深闊度都比機仔強. 我連睇DVD都用埋他,他連播DVD都比好多Player靚. 不過大機整得好難十倍,火牛夠唔夠力,散熱,噪音,Bioe seting , 好多問題要用多好多時間心機配答調較. 最後修改時間: 2010-03-23 17:33:20 |
