| [#8] 有冇師兄用 Ruark 喇叭 The Equinox was one of my favorite speakers back then, too, though I never owned one. There top-end Excalibur model is also very nice. As far as the name goes, I believe it is somewhat based on the boss's name (something O'rourke), and would be pronounced similarly (i.e. like raw-k)  |

| [#11] 有冇師兄用 Ruark 喇叭 Hi Siu Yi Hing, Not totally sure, but I think it should be about the 50k range back then. For the kind of construction and component quality, it would definitely be priced much higher if it is launched these days and perhaps under a better known brand. I saw a demo pair at Hifi Gallery (I think?) a couple of years ago, and it was clearing out at mid 30k. Whoever bought it would be a real lucky guy. One thing I really like about Ruark speakers generally is that it has body to the sound. Many modern speakers put too much emphasis on perceived details and definition that the meat is all gone, together with the warmth and coziness of music. |

| [#13] 有冇師兄用 Ruark 喇叭 accudude hing, Thanks so much for sharing. Actually, before I bought the Equinox, I tried several speakers which are famous. Though their resell value would be rather stable and secured, I decided to take Ruark just because it's sound acutally out-performed those branded speakers asking $2x,xxx (2nd hand price) in my 2 cents. I agree that the one who bought the demo in Hi-fi Gallery was a lucky guy. |

| [#14] 有冇師兄用 Ruark 喇叭 Hi 小二 I bought 'Accolade' in 1995. Since then I haven't change to other speakers. In the photo, you may be able to see the PX25 SEamp and the KT88 PPamp. Accolade is 幾大食 but my 5W PX25 amp drives them well.  |

| [#17] 有冇師兄用 Ruark 喇叭 Hi fireface Nice to see a net friend who use the same speaker. I haven't done any special treatment on the wood. Instead, I just clean the surface with a wet cloth about once a year. They just happened to look shiny in the photo. When I first bought these speakers, I drove them with the Cello Duet 350. But finally I found that the PX25 drives them better although the bass punch is not as good. |
