| [#2] Firewire for Weiss DAC2 I did tried many OEM type and now stay with the Apple (white) firewire as well. Rumour said it is made by Belkin. (not yet sure) |

| [#17] Firewire for Weiss DAC2 I went through the same thing and asked Daniel Weiss. If you have a PC laptop without Firewire you can use PCMCIA or Express cards. According to Daniel the safe bet is to get a Firewire card with TI (Texas Instrument) chipset. Daniel mentioned that many other chipsets are known not to work. I ran around and found a reasonably priced PCMCIA card with TI chipset. I have since bought a Macbook with built in Firewire. If you are interested I can sell it for minimal cost since I won't need it anymore. |
