[#1] Naim System - Power and Cabling (Help!!) HI all C Hing, need some help with my gear. I have CD5XS, NAIT XS, Flatcap XS My naim is use in room but I only have 1 single wall socket.... I made the modification in the picture, I use a $10 ("站"玉) and UK 4mm '孖打" power cable to 1 分2 into 2 external 2 way MK wall sockets (now total 4 位). I always believe better more direct (直插牆) because 拖板 has extra fuse, extra power cable... but some Ching say better use a MK 4位拖板.... any CHing can help me work out the best solution without spend too much money and get best result? options: 1.) current solution (as picture) 2.) connect wall to 1st socket and "拖手" to 2nd socket (2nd pic) 3.) MK 4位拖板 Thanks you..... ![]() |

[#7] Naim System - Power and Cabling (Help!!) Why don't use the 萬能插蘇? I stack two three-way to power my pre, power amp, ndac, xps together. This way sounds the best. |

[#8] Naim System - Power and Cabling (Help!!) 路過, 對 naim 唔多識. Flatcap = power conditioner? If yes should have sockets for cdp and amp? Then wall socket > flatcap > cdp > amp ? 如果錯了, 請勿怪一時多口. |

[#10] Naim System - Power and Cabling (Help!!) Mrbeansr Ching, Any reason to put the amp furthest away from wall? Some ching suggest close to wall more power but slow, further from wall faster but less power, so cdp can place further from wall, ext power. Then amp ( close to wall), but I never test it.... |

[#11] Naim System - Power and Cabling (Help!!) many theory about pluging what first and what last. but think about it, i don't think it make much difference. the power that getting to your outlet come from the power station and already traveled many miles or while passing many swtich gear and transofmer, stepping up and down. does the final few inches matter? the only thing that really matter for Naim is the earthing point should be as close togeher as possible and hence the product 'hydra'. alternatively just jam all power cable under one 13A plug, i managed 3 in one. more than that is not recommended. Just my 2 cents, I am not a very serious hi fi player but i did spend 2 years studying the uk Naim forum regarding all aspect of setting up naim to sounds best. |
