This is happening to both channels and still there after changing all the tubes, I have had a look under and nothing looks to be burnt, any help appreciated |

| [#26041] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Kitlam, What is the speakers efficiency? Did you play your music far too loud? Don't forget it is only 10W per channel. If the power tubes are well matched (EL84 - i.e. not a reason for distortion), the driver tubes (12AX7) and front end tube (12AX7) are all in good working order, but cracking distortion continues, it may be time for it to be taken to a technian for a thorough check. Nothing burnt doesn't mean nothing drifted in value! Particularly if original, vintage components are still there. | [#26043] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Gents, Thank you most kindly for advice, the distortion occurs with two different pairs of speakers last weekend, before that everything was normal I have tried a passive pre amp as well and the cracking start at normal listening level. 90% of the components were updated last year but I guess it will have to have a thorough look through by a technican. |
