| [#5695] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Thanks to all of you. I will post some pic once I get time to pick up the unit, and "swim' back to SZ. The units seem very clean from outside, except that RCA socket were instaled and four small holes drilled on the face below the main transformer. Both unit were the dark colour type, all trans and choke are open frame. Very clean unit wrapped in cling film when I arrived for my inspection. They were come with smoke glass Black base Osram KT66, Mullard ECC33 and GZ32, of course the original Mullard EL37A inside a shinny tube shield. Inside, all caps were changed to REL Cap, all some resistor were changed to Vishey (?). However, the dog bones are all intact (yes!!). The only draw back were one unit appears to have oil all over the output transformer. Otherwise, everything seem original without mod. It comes with power cord fitted with the Bulgin plug (Wow!) I will need to work on the units to have better caps installed when I have time. Both units can sign without hum. Can't comment on the sound quality because the caps are quite different. For $30K, I just can'y resist!! I had to sneak out the office at 11:30am and made the decision after seeing. Now I need to sell some of my other goodies to make up my bank account deficit. Chi |
