| [#2] 中置夾前置請教 your center speaker should be the same brand and same series as the front LR speakers. denon 3808 is a decent av receiver. should have no prob. using external mullti channel amps of course will be better. |

| [#5] 中置夾前置請教 jas audio orior grand crossover point is different from that of triangle voce centre. moreover home theatre multi channel the center and sub are most important as easily 70% of the sound is coming out from them. all other alternatives are compromise. just save up and get the proper center speaker. |

| [#6] 中置夾前置請教 a center speaker is good in anchoring images spread to multi listeners. if most of the time just one listener u may try using phantom centre ((meaning to do without a centre speaker). this is even better than using a mis matched center as the sound stage will not collapse. |

| [#8] 中置夾前置請教 for your info (from dominic baker, the design engineer of focal jmlab utopia series): ""A very important thing to note regarding the Electra range, and in fact the Chorus and Cobalt ranges, with respect to Home Theater installations: Many, high-end dealers, journalists, consumers etc, are convinced that for a true Home Theater system that it is essential to use five (or six, seven, eight. . .) identical loudspeakers. In many practical cases, they are not wrong. If the floorstanding main loudspeakers use a carefully optimized 24dB/octave crossover, the center an 18dB/octave because the designer sees it as a d’Appolito type configuration and the surrounds a simple 12dB/octave ‘cause they are just for effects and the budget is a little tight, then there is no way, even after three days of set-up with the most advanced test systems, that this system will ever deliver a stable three dimensional image as intended by original soundtrack engineers. The difference in phase over the critical midrange/treble frequencies between the different crossover types used just won’t allow it. It is for this reason that we go to great lengths to use the same crossover topology: – 24dB/octave for Electra, at the same crossover frequency: – 2.5kHz for Electra, with the same tweeter: - TRC for Electra, with the same midrange driver: - “W” cone for Electra FOR EVERY SINGLE ELECTRA MODEL. Even the quality of the drivers, cabinet, crossover, damping material etc is same high standard throughout the whole range. The result is that we can promise that once installed and levels set, you will be instantly greeted by a true three dimensional image that will make your head turn. It is sad to see so many high-end systems that are simply not capable of delivering the true Surround Sound effect because of an electroacoustic short-sight. It’s a lot of money to waste, don’t make this mistake."" |
