8 tubes for pre-amp of latest version, stock ones are JJ. (same for my cheap Chinese amp.$100/tube)Tube rolling can be a concern especially NOS ones, entry level is Telefunken, not talking about long plate Mullard or Brimar 6057/6067. Audiophile is insatiable, would need quality tubes sooner or later.

Power amp, don't know any concern. Re-selling value is not high. Without vintage Gold lion KT 88, its performance would be affected. Quality of output transformer, insertion loss, can't tell. Two main areas wrt tube amp. in general. Won't use expensive Hashimoto output transformers? YS audio is.(not an advertisement)

For the price of an interconnect, should consider this one, too. Entry level. Good enough as an active tube tester, before placing other tubes in the expensive Luxman pre-amp. Emitron(GEC) 6x4 is too expensive, only used for a little while. No/low hum. Got both Ayre and Joule electra pre-amp's for comparison, though not of the same league.
