| [#49] Linn LP12 Fans rover901, there is audible difference between the Ekos and Ittok III although the two closely resembled each other. The Ekos is distinctively more detailed and outputs better dynamics in the high and low quarters. However, the Ittok III is not all lost but shines in its better musicality. I have to change for a new armboard because the one came with the Ekos was ruined and cannot be adjusted to level with the platter. So may be I should give the Ekos more time to settle with the LP 12. I don't know about the new Lingo II because there is no way I can get one for comparison. However, I would think that if there is indeed any contribution to sound quality, I can't see anything significant other than a darker background. |

| [#50] Linn LP12 Fans rover901, re: lingoed LP 12 and Herculed LP12 - the difference is noticeably in the darker background. With the Lingo, it could be due to the absence of high frequency interference, etc. at the underneath of the LP 12 that has affected the phono head and tonearm cable with the presence of the Hercules. |

I had a chance listen LP12 with a goldmund mat, it does a good focus and tighen the bass and bigger sounds stage, quite impressive. |
