| [#5] MQA Audio Format According to Andreas Koch, father of SACD and founder of Playback Design, MQA is a solution to a problem that no longer exist. The problem was limited bandwidth in music streaming (may be 10 years or more ago). Now with 4G (5G coming soon) and high speed broadband internet streaming DSD and 192/24 HD files is no longer a problem. With physical media SACD disk can store hours of DSD files so what is the point of having MQA on CD media. I have listened to MQA files with my streamer and cannot hear any noticeable improvement in SQ. In my humble opinion MQA is pure hype and created as a means to charge license fees with no real benefit to audiophiles. | [#10] MQA Audio Format 錄音靚16/44.1都靚聲 x4。反而覺得DSD如果由錄音開始到用家屋企，唔係全程用1bit方式而要pcm轉1bit的話，已經失去DSD的原意。其實我唔覺MQA有壓縮，佢只係將資料放係噪音部份係會俾數碼filter過瀘的無用位置，用支援MQA的解碼就可以還原高解解像的錄音。我覺得只係更好利用有限的空間（當一隻cd係個盒，執好個空間放多阻野）。 最後修改時間: 2018-07-04 21:15:50 |

| [#12] MQA Audio Format I don't disagree that MQA version may sound better than plan 44.1/16. (Remember HDCD? It sounds better than plan old CD, right?) My point is that MQA with it's lossy compression and limited bandwidth cannot contain as much information as DSD and 192/24 formats. If DSD and 192/24 are widely available and can be easily streamed from a NAS over LAN what is the whole point of having MQA files?
