even with 2 outlets it all depends whether single line or separate lines inside the wall. if it is one line there is no difference as you plug 2 power cords into one outlet.

i assume he understand ....we are talking about INDIVIDUAL outlet, otherwise what the different by using a power bar?

running god qaulity mono block with independent putlets does make a different .especially..those high outlet 600w at 8ohn...

however if it is 600w power consumption, does not really matter

I had a Mcintosh MC602 many years ago that I should never have sold. Now I am thinking of getting a pair of MC601 mono block but in fact I know nothing about it. I reckon if I plug both mono blocks into the same outlet the power consumption would be similar to that of a single MC602.

you have to check what is the maximum POWER CONSUMPTION of each unit.
POWER CONSUMPTION does not equal to POWER RATING 600W in 8 Ohm.
Please check.

Hahaha, as I said I know close to nothing about this MC601. I have not seen the real thing yet and I doubt it is available in HK at least for now. So there is a pretty good chance that I am only blowing water and end up not buying it.

Out of curiosity, what is the maximum load of a regular socket outlet good for?

Unless the wall socket already plugged in many other gears, if just 2 mono blocks, you probably don't need to install another socket.

The exception is if the mono draw lots of current when switching on, it may trigger the protection. Then, you may need turn on both one by one with a bit of wait in between.

If it is some odd amp, better you ask the manufacturer.
