| [#1] PCI-e 1394 card for weiss DAC2 Chings, I want to buy Weiss DAC2 and use with PC (windows OS) but my PC only has PCI-e slot. So I have some questions; 1) What type of Firewire socket (e.g. 1394a, 1394b or ... ) use in DAC2? 2) What brand of chipsets use on the PCI-e 1394 card is compatible with DAC2? Where can I search for this information? 3) Can Chings share your experience and recommend any PCI-e 1394 card (low-profile or standard size also ok) which work well with DAC2? and where can I buy it ? DAC2 uses 1394a (Firewire 400) type. ＞ 2) What brand of chipsets use on the PCI-e 1394 card is compatible with DAC2? Where can I search for this information? TI - Texas Instruments firewire chipset is the best one in the industry and is recommended. ＞ 3) Can Chings share your experience and recommend any PCI-e 1394 card (low-profile or standard size also ok) which work well with DAC2? Sonnet is the best brand but very simple one will work as good too. |
