| [#10] 有冇6c33c 單端用家？ I have one 6c33 stereo amp which is now modded with full film psu capacitors, E810F /D3a driver witg battery biased in cathode, vcap cutf, fixed biasd 6c33c, 1kohm output transformers. It sounds almighty good. But Romy's offer still looks yummy. Apart from the many chokes here and there, the 6e5p driver uses a interesting OA2 bias and the output tran is Amorphous core which Romy claims is absolutely mandatory... |

| [#11] 有冇6c33c 單端用家？ 我覺得推6c33嘅driver tube 好緊要，一定要屏阻好低（例如E810F的1.2kohm)。我覺得比用咩牛或coupling cap更重要，如果driver plate resistance唔夠低，高音會粗同掘尾，但用啱driver,佢嘅高音非常細膩，一啲都唔粗，比300B等都不遑多讓。可能係6c33本身阻抗超低，所以上一級的阻抗要好低。 感覺上，driver 阻抗在6c33之影響,比在300B等更明顯。 |

| [#15] 有冇6c33c 單端用家？ welborne, I may not completely agree with your "too much" power theory...If the amp is basically good enough, it should be no problem. If the amp is no good, changing caps etc shall not resolve the basic issues. In NYC, my speakers are 104 db YL horns, surely at least as sensitive as yours. Yet I find no problem using my Almarro A318A. The 6C33 are driven by 6SN7 and 6SL7, not some esoteric tubes. Yet the sound is quite refined and I suffer from no high frequency problem like those you mentioned. To me, this is a good and reasonably priced 6C33 amp. I also have an Audio Professor 6C33 amp with Tango transformers. Excellent. Aside from these transformer output SET amps, I am also familiar with Graaf's excellent GM20, surely a great OTL amp employing 6DJ8 and EF184 in front. It is very refined, no coarseness about it. It is all in the execution. In case of SET, transformer quality is of utmost concern. If you ask me, many of the Chinese products fail in this regard. No amount of tweaking can help design flaws.  |

| [#19] 有冇6c33c 單端用家？ I always told my audiobuddies: as much as fun i have had with the 71a and 300b, especially the flea power 71a... 6c33 is still my favourite and all rounded amp in my room even serving the 100db Bastanis baffle. Mine has the output transformer upgraded to a pair specially ordered from Taiwan (though not Tango/Tamura). It has a sound that i dont find in my other toys |

It is really too harsh to compare the 6c33 with a direct coupled 71a with vintage globe. Still I like the 6c33!! @@ |
