| [#2] Lumin U-1 問題 Lumin U1 USB port can be used to output digital audio to one USB DAC. (Unlike other Lumin player models.) It can also be used for USB storage, similar to other Lumin player models. Therefore, it is possible to use one USB port for USB DAC, and the other port for USB storage. | [#3] Lumin U-1 問題 Thanks! It mean I can use U-1 USB port to connect a CDP like Esoteric K-1 or K-01XS and use these CDP'S internal DAC to play music files? Is there any sound quality difference if I use coaxial from U-1 vs S-1 digital out to a CDP? Which mean I use my CDP's DAC to play music files. Because I already have S-1, unless the USB digital out from U-1 sound much better than S-1's coaxial digital out. Otherwise there is no meaning for me to get a U-1 to replace my S-1. |

| [#12] Lumin U-1 問題 #5 Esoteric K01x/K03x/K01xs/K03xs can play DSD files via DoP over coax. K01/K03 cannot. I am using K03x and previously K03 so am sure K03x works. I heard people said that for the same streamer and DAC, coax sounds better than USB because USB was not designed for CAS, contains a lot of handshaking protocal signal hence is very noisy. SPDIF (coax and AES) is pure digital transmission with no added protocal so sounds better. I'm happy to hear chings sharing your experience on this. Happy listening :) |
