| [#1] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp 請教各位 Poineer 用家, 想setup套音響聽歌,電影各半. 主喇叭:Magnepan 1.6, 考慮Poineer 83/73, 因為它們對環境調整出色(mcacc+phase control)及可以把7聲道設為bi-amp推主喇叭(ice-power).如果可以都想直播HDD音樂檔案(FLAC & WAVE為主). 問過lx73賣8700, lx83賣13300. 看過HIVx最新評分, Poineer LX83和55都是同級第一位, 但LX73差很遠. 是本身73差還是其他廠(y記o記)中級特別好? LX83水貨賣10500, 買唔買得過? 無保養! LX85,75差唔多出, 但無ICE-POWER, 85價錢估計18000以上, 因為55賣一萬零幾. 其實我有部美版LX52, 直唔直花錢換83/73? Thanks. |

| [#2] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp Hi ching, please make sure the ohm value of your speaker is not lower than 6, they have problems on low ohm values speaker, but quality is very good on that price. |

| [#4] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp I have compared the LX83 & LX73 before. LX83 has better resolution, the DAC has Hi-bit 32 function sounds good for compressed / low quality recordings. My previous front speakers were 4ohms, I don't have any problems with it. As it is a nominal value, I think it depends only whether the impedance is low at 4ohms across the whole spectrum or it would drop to lower than 4 ohms in certain frequency, but I have no experience on Magnepan... |

| [#5] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp Hi Ching, If you are using 4 ohm speakers, really suggest you think and think and think. I have tried LX-72 and LX-82 with 4 ohm speakers (2 different pairs), but both have the problems, it cuts the power and shut down the amp with a red light blinking. I go to Hi Fi shops and ask their advice, they said they have customers have that problems also and so they either choose 6 or 8 ohm speakers or change other amp. So, I give a call to Pioneer, they told me that "Don't use 4 ohm speakers, it will have problems either on the amp or even the speakers". My story is interesting, because I love LX-82 very much and find the resolution is so high and so I bought other better speakers for it, I bought Dyna focus + focus centre, it is great for most of the foreign movies, but one day when I play HK movie, it shut down several times, and when I search the manual, the blinking light means "don't try to play it again, call the Engineer" So, please think and think for using 4 ohm speakers for LX-83. BTW, when I use LX-50 before, it has no problem, so most likely is the Class D problem. | [#7] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp Mr.paul, As the crossover of speakers will filter out the frequency range which passive bi-amp produces, there would be no power gain but argurably there are some improvements in sound quality provided that the amp has adequate power supply for driving 4 channels simultaneously. But for active bi-amp, it is another story... |

| [#8] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp AV-amp push Magnepan = terrible combination. Magnepan require high power amp at least 100W. Also, it's 4ohm so pioneer will not be a good fit. Also, most wattage claim from AV amp is over-rated. Use a 200W amp or a 100W tube amp to save yourself the disappointment. |

| [#11] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp PioneerLX7剛在九龍影音買0左,$8760. 無中文說明書中文Main及保養卡,好難用,用DVD機同軸輸出DTS時無聲,用PS3 HDMI輸出就無問題,搖控設計十分不方便(應該在搖控上加上液晶片,顯示工作狀態),好難想像Pioneer認為有人會用皮幾買. 一件產品,心思十分重要,Onkyo連個Volume扭都有燈,自動感應輸入音源為DTS或一般5.1,Pay國產DVD9時,有無DTS一目了然.在搖控方面,Onkyo將學習按鈕與擴音機本身按鈕分開,搖控一般都週圍放,將會搖控那部電器十分重要. LX73最唔好係自動感應,當聽緊電台,一開電視或碟機,自動轉去TV或Game,Pioneer以為這種功能好人性化,實際仲麻煩過我亞媽. LX73聽歌方面,人聲電結他等中高頻尚算不差,Rock鼓等低頻力水仍然不足,就算用Stream direct力水仍然差小小,要SW幫手,電影5.1/7.1表現非常好,(可能本人對音響認識水平仍然低) 還未上到網絡電台,不會評論,但不能上Youtube真係一大敗筆. 真係唔想先鋒步健伍後塵!  |

| [#14] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp i agree using an external power amp to drive the planar is a good option. whether to wait for lx75 it all depends whether u need the features and the price difference from lx73. because i use 2 powered subs and even i am using 2 front speakers with 8 inch mid/bass capable of going down to 60hz i still set speakers to small and crossover at 100hz to achieve a better result than setting crossover at 50 or 80hz. this is room dependant and u may need to experiment to find your best settings |

| [#16] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp i am using lx72 and it is also able to play music files (flac/mp3...) stored in NAS. there are 2 problems: 1) it can't display chinese characters (not on the front panel nor even if u browse thru TV) 2) the response time when scrolling thru the list is a bit slow (but i'm not sure if it's my NAS problem or what) So at the end i use squeezebox touch with external dac, which is much more convenient and better sound. | [#18] Pioneer LX83 / LX73 AV amp Mr.paul, if u have connected the ethernet port of LX83, u can try using UPNP to stream music without the need of using LX83 remote to browse ur library. From my experience, it is better than HDMI on LX83. Pls let us know the results ;) |
