| [#4] Jeff Rowland 又玩數碼class D .......JF535 I am not against class D amps, and believe that class D amps technology is getting better and better but sill cannot approach the best of class A and AB. The rep of the HK agent told me that he prefers 625 S2 (class AB) over 925 and 825 (both class D) US MSRP of 535 is $9,900. Isn't class D amp supposed to be high in price/performance ratio??? Compare to most good class D amps this price is way out of the market. It is actually much more expensive than a lot of highly rated class AB amps. Time will tell whether the market accepts this model at this price or not. Just my 2 cents. I do not expect all chings will agree with me but this is fine. |

The high price of the Jeff Rowland class D amp, could be a marketing concern rather than its production cost ! My 2 cents too ! |

It will be interesting to compare 535 to other brands and models using the same Pascal module. I believe other brands can sell at less than half or even 1/4 of JR's price of US$9900. It is a free market and consumers have choices. I used to have a JR Capri preamp bought 2nd hand and well burnt-in. I used it for less than a week and sold it. You can guess the reason.......it sounded like xyz%@# |
