got dynamic range and sound pressure level (spl) mixed up

talk about 130db?

can u work out how much amp power is required to produce 130db sound level with a pair of speakers of 90db sensitivity at 1 meter? what about at 10 feet with 130db sound level?

can u confirm? most links specify as 90db.

also what about 24 bit as against 16 bit cd bit depth?

Do you understand chinese??? it said the CD software been compressed/limited to 65dB DR for playback safety, average home around 60dB background, you need music power playback at 60dB up in order not masked by Background noise, so quietest passage at 60dB, 65dB DR means the music at peak can be as loud as 125dB, that's more than enough, in order to have full 90dB DR, you have to find a room with 30dB background first.

90dB DR is theoretical figure of 16bit, all proper designed CD player can do it, but not practical for household playback in most case.

24-bit recording provide bigger headroom before the music signal clipped, 90dB vs 144dB means the engineer can use more gain as much as 54dB to capture smaller nuance in music while will not clip at peak, then at mastering studio, 32 even 64 bit floating point DSP can do volume control with more headroom and freedom than straight 16-bit, but at consumer level, the recording already molded, 16-bit and 24-bit doesn't matter to consumer as long as the recordings were well mastered.

As always we can not expect cpu to be too technical in audio based on his post in dozens of threads he screwed up in the past. There is no point to teach him too many things as he will copy the idea.
