[#41] 喇叭 距離 Allow me to join in.... Cannot resist once I see big bass, horns and small spaces. I am a big fan. :-) Actually, small space is both a blessing and a curse to some extend. Being small, it's easy to get the sound surrounding oneself and feel like one is "inside" the music. (Of coz, cannot be too small.) However, its seems that most modern big woofer speakers are relying on power to push out bass. They are usually long throw and can be fast and clean sounding but need the power to drive. Giving them enough power usually means too loud in small space. Yet, vintage 15" is another approach. They are usually paper cone which is light. They only need small power to drive and being efficient, there will be more details at lower volume. Of coz, there are drawbacks that come with the merits, being paper cone, they are prone to humidity change. They cannot give out heart pounding bass. Many cannot even go lower than 50 hz. I guess this all boils down to preference again. It's funny to see big speakers having inadequate bass but that woofer is handling up to say 600 hz to 1000 hz. Details at higher frequency makes up for all the draw backs. I guess this is the vintage speaker charm to some people. |
