| [#21] Marantz 8B Dear lun 190 hing Beside the power transformer, there are many possibilities can cause hum, such as poor connection of ground, failure of tube, failure of power supply, leakage of coupling cap, value drop of filter cap...! If the hum is coming from both channels, than the problem usually comes from the power supply section or grounding. If hum coming from single channel, than the problem usuaully comes from the amplification sector. If you cannot figure out what is the problem, I would suggest you should bring your M8B for body check. Best regards Alan |

| [#22] Marantz 8B If your 8B connected with AV amp, that also connected to VCR or DVD recorder, which connected to TV public antenna, it might also cause hum as well. You might need an isolator to stop the hum. Just for sharing. |
