其實何止電解電容, 功率管都唔好得去邊! 唔由頭到腳大執今本唔玩得幾耐.
一般石機用上十年打後, 都差不多燈盡油枯, 間中出現腳軟現像. 所以買舊款power amp, 當買機殼咁買就差唔多喇. 如果仲話要賣十萬八萬, 甚至廿零三十萬, 你叫機主自己收藏返件寶物算喇! ^^

It depends on the brands, and it depends on the owners taking care of the equipment.

Some brands are made to last.

Some owners pay attention to the maintenance of the equipment, say, playing it at least once per week, ensuring dusts and moistures are away.

Some brands push the component specifications to the limit, or, overdrive them.

Some owners just plug / play.

It makes a difference.

Good examples are some vintage LS 3/5a - some look like the condition it was 30+ years ago.

Naim amps are legendary for their durability. I have an old Nait 2 that did not require any service for almost 20 years, and had been left on all the time. Despite Naim's recommendation of recapping every 10 years, the Nait 2 sounded good as new without any recapping before I sold it last year.

Some "電解電容" storage 壽命 can be very long.

Even it is in operation mode, if running in low temperature, it can last for some years.

Of cause not every 電解電容 can last for so long la.

"Some years" 的係幾耐呀, 一般廠商最最最盡都係三數年保養, 先唔好講用過, 就算未開盒 ... 只放都有機會壞或過期~

I used to have a Musical Fidelity amp.

It had 2 Mosfets only, providing 100W power per side. Only a few capacitors inside.

One of the Mosfet blew up within 1 year (from brandnew).

I used to have an Accuphase too. Looking at its construction and design, I bet it can last 30 years safely.

呢個世界有咩唔會壞呀 ... 特別係科技o野,就算唔壞都會設計過時啦 ... 又舊又冇用o個d 叫"垃圾", 而又舊又值錢o個d叫古董, 放呢處賣會好浪費架 ... 送去拍賣會啦~

我部power amp 20年廠保養播....不會咁易壞的，
最多咪換電解，不要嚇我播....
現在超過了10年咩事都無，如你認為電解已老化無料到，
你試下touch下佢看看如何？

另外，我見bryston也有20年Warranty喎....唔通佢對傻的？:p
