| [#1] Audio Note M6 tube rolling Hi,I have the current generation Audio Note M6 phono preamp. I use it with a pair of Conquest Silver Signature amplifiers. The M6 sounds somewhat thick and syrupy to my ears. This leads to slowing down of transient attacks too. I have tested the line stage of the M6 and also used it as a full function preamp, the overall thickness and somewhat slow nature of the sound seems to affect both the line stage and phono stage. What tubes should I roll to to make it sound more neutral and quick ? |

| [#5] Audio Note M6 tube rolling Hi, From my experience, copper cable does give a warmer sound, silver more transparent. But whether silver will give faster sound and not as relaxed, I'm not sure. I think tube rolling does help a bit. What r u using to drive the 300Bs? I'm using a passive preamp, audio note amps as well, silver cabling throughout and old Altec speakers.
