| [#10] Esoteric K03 櫃桶開唔出問題 K03 model was manufactured from 2010 to 2014, hence your unit is 5 to 9 years old depending on when you bought. DCH charge $500 for onsite service and $50-60 per rubber band (K03 has 2 rubber bands). Normally rubber bands need.to be replaced every 5-6 years. Don't go to 樂X in Shatin. The guy who took my call knew little to nothing about Esoteric, gave me a lot of bull shit and quoted me over $1000. If you want to use your K03 for a few more years you may want to change the laser head as well. Heads normally last for 5-6 years depending on your usage. Cost is around $1k if I remember correctly. The $500 on site service fee covers replacing everything. Happy listening :) |

| [#20] Esoteric K03 櫃桶開唔出問題 Reply to #17 Csum123 ching, I changed the belt of my X05 about 5 years ago. DCH C-Fu also brought a laser head and asked me whether I want to change it or not for the head normally lasts for 5-6 years depending on usage. My X05 had no problem reading CDs so I did not changed it. I later sold it and upgraded to K03 and then to K03x. C-Fu told me the laser head parts cost was around $600 if I replace it together with the belt. The laser heads are from Sony. If one knows how to do DIY fixing one can order parts online and replace it. (one needs to take out the laser head and find the part number) C-Fu also told me that the X05 spindle motor is fixed to the drive mechanism and could not be taken apart to replace. So if the motor is dead the whole VMK-5 drive mechanism has to be replaced and the cost was around $6000 (5 years ago). By the way the drives of K01/03 are completely different. They are all metal and have 2 rubber belts. Both the laser heads and spindle motors can be replaced on-site. 最後修改時間: 2019-01-09 19:27:46 |
