Emission Labs 5U4G compared with Vintage tubes such as GEC U52,Western Electric 274B,Telefunken RGN2504...etc.It provides a very balanced sound effects, airy as well as cystal clear in high frequency. I would like to desrcribe Emission Labs really Modern sound than all the vintage tubes.Thus,if you prefer to hear Modern pop,hits songs or new age music.I guess you should feel fully satiflied with its perfermance. To sum up,It is a very economical tubes which really is hand made in European country nowadays. |

| [#15] 有冇EMISSION LABS膽用家分享一下經驗? EML is one of the best current production SE tubes in the world. Please remember, 300B XLS is not exactly the same as 300B. Of course, you could use 300BXLS tubes on 300B Amp but never able to maxi its performance. In addition, the electrical working point is different. Here is some comment: I have used EML 5U4G, 274B, 300B, 300BXLS and also KR300B, 300B Ballon, 300B XLS, 845 since early 2000.... They both use hard glass (Crystal) and high Torr vacuum technique. 300B comparison: EML tonal balance is more Tight and bias more on the high frequency while KR300B is more comprehensive from top to lower bass. KR300B do provide a warmer tonal and much better in lower mid and bass. In this case, no matter how many more hours of run-in, this is the fact. For Rectifier Tube, EML indeed is a new tube and good sound but no as durable than NOS U52 or CV575 or 274Sp. In worst case, EML rectifier tube will burnt quicker in 1 yr in some Ching heavy usage and the tube turns black. While on the same Power Amp on normal 3-4 usage a day, my GEC U52 still hard rock for 6 years and remain high value testing on AVO tube tester.
