I emailed the Auralic CEO. He said they have no plans to have any agent in HK. So direct sales only.

If you're not happy with their products, they accept returns, but with a 15% restocking fee.

It has been our reference DAC for a group of friends here in California for more than 6 months la. Cost about $4500 USD, Aeries + Vega. Not cheap but worth the $$$ ask for. It's really competing with the best of the best like MSB & dCS etc.
My minor complain is when it switch between sampling, it choke/interrupt a couple of times before it completely locks it. Kind of like when vinyl skip a few times. Otherwise sounds pretty good, makes you like 44.1 all over again over 96 and above. High res is really not necessary.

The case of Aeries is a very light weighted flimsy case, we suspect because it needs to be wi-fi-ed, so it's not very heavy duty case, people suggested using solid wood and stuff to put weight on it but the curve design makes it difficult.

Since it's Chinese made, they know HK majority are totally against Chinese product, it's a smart move not to launch in HK !! They are still relatively low profile, I hope they keep improving, proof Chinese Hi-Fi can stand up in the Western world.

I only bought the Aries and am pairing it with a Type 1 DAC. Everything sounds better with the Aries. Am planning to upgrade my DAC. Should I go for the Vega?

& invite all the people on R33 for home audition and let them critique.
Better yet, invite those who own Berkley DAC Alpha, dCS and MSB to A/B.

It will be fun & you will love the result even if you lose ....

When we use the Aeries to drive other DAC, the improvement was significant but Aeries + Vega is a very special combo that works very well together. We had a friend who brought the Aeries to drive the Musical Fidelity DAC after hearing the various combination w/ the Aeries & Vega. If $$ allows, it's not a bad investment for the time being.

Wow. Thanks for your prompt reply. The sound of the Vega is quite neutral, isn't it? I am using tube amp.

What kind of connection are you using? I am using coaxial to connect my DAC to the Aries.

I contacted Auralic directly to get the Aries. You can find the email contact from Auralic website.

They will ship it from Mainland CHina via Fedex. Take around 2 days.

今周沒家訪一位師兄用Aries 推Anedio D2 dac, 結果亦很好, 大陸野? 唔怪佢死都唔響香港賣 ... The strategy is once it became very famous world wide like America and Europe, then Asia market will demand it. Since Asia market is the richest market in the world, they just need to be patient, build it up around the world and than HK people will demand them quickly. So far it's going the right direction, more & more trade show begun to use it ... Get one before the price goes up !!!

Munich HIGHEND show, 14th May 2015 – AURALiC launches ARIES MINI, a new member of its lightning product line. ARIES MINI is a wireless streaming node designed for your existing audio system connection. It enables your home stereo with wireless high-resolution streaming capability at an affordable price.

ARIES MINI shares all existing software and hardware functions of our original popular streaming bridge: ARIES, which launched last year on the HighEnd Munich show. In additional, ARIES MINI has a pair of high quality analog output powered by ESS Sabre DAC chip: ES9018K2M. The built-in storage slot accepts any 2.5-inch hard drive or solid-state drive, which can be used to build your personal music library.

ARIES MINI can stream high-resolution music extremely fast over WiFi signal at virtually any sampling rate, even for the latest Quad-Rate DSD and DXD. It is powered by AURALiC's proprietary Tesla hardware platform including a Quad-Core ARM Coretex-A9 processor running at 1GHz, 512MB DDR3 onboard memory and 4GB internal data storage. The input of ARIES MINI includes Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac dual-band WiFi, USB input and optional internal storage such as 2.5’ hard disk or solid-state drive. The outputs are USB audio that is compatible with DACs, which do not required drive to work on Mac system. The digital audio outputs include Coaxial and Toslink with maximum supported sampling rate up to 24Bit/192k.
