| [#6] *** 請問前輩們 Convergent-SL1 *** The SL1 Reference and Signature Mk1 and Mk2 (not sure about Mk3)are very particular about the 12AU7. Almost no 12AU7 can work probably other than those made by Siemens and RFT as well as 13D3 made by Brimar. But all 6922 and 12AX7 work. |

| [#7] *** 請問前輩們 Convergent-SL1 *** 用石後的人要小心,好多膽前,多年服務後都有漏DC了, 百幾至二百volt屏極及陰極電壓,輸出電容稍為漏少少,石後輸入又無電容,一接就燒燬的。 (註:靚石後輸入一般都無輸入電容的) 膽前一定要度清楚輸出有無漏DC,才好接石後。 |

| [#13] *** 請問前輩們 Convergent-SL1 *** http://www.stereophile.com/tubepreamps/705/ it tells the whole story but lengthy.......... Except the very early "Reference" (it uses daul volumn knobs). The mass production Reference series mostly come with phono part, Sig 1/2/3 and Ultimate, they have versions of with or without phono parts. The phono amp is quite good, but if you don't play LP, it burns 5 mini tubes for nothing, you can't pluge them out although you don't connect a LP player.........!!!! All versions shared with similar circuitry design, but the main difference of "Reference" and "Signature" is the power supply part, change of the circuitry board materials and few caps & etc. And after Signature 3 the phono stage input using 6922 instead of 12Au7 (lost the warm touch, my personal feel, but more stable and low noise.........the C hing is right, the early version when using 12Au7 that is a critical point, those german tube is better, RFT is good and musical but not long life, 13D3 is also OK). Version Ultimate improved the high gain step volumn with a more fine tune between steps. SL-1 is a long life product and the face plate of different versions look very similar except the model printed in a very tiny letters. SL-1 is a very good pre-amp, very Hifi and juicy, but not user friendly to match with other power amps. |

If you put the wrong brands, you will be very 頭痛 of the hum noise, and never put Mullard to the input stage (will kill the 分析力). For V3/4 and V8/9 the output stage use the most durable and stable tubes like Telefunken 12aX7, then you would have no hassle. V5 and V10 are buffer tubes, so there are sensitive to different house sound of tube brands (there you can put Mullard for 和味 if you like it). But if the input tubes go wrong.
