Ha ha .... I bought my Psvane 300B from Taobao direct and I don't even know wildismaudio.

In this game for so many years, all I learnt is that its all about SYSTEM MATCHING and PERSONAL PREFERENCES, there isn't a "the BEST tube" as such, including those 40s engraved WE300B, WE274A I collected. Its all funs trying different brands but don't be too serious about it, its just a hobby .......... happy tube rolling and listening ...

#4 those 300b you mentioned, I have owned and listened ...

Its different strokes for different blokes again. I tried Psvane 300b mesh and Full Music 300b-n, in my amp, after living with both for a few months, I actually prefer Full Music mesh and sold the Psvane. They dont sound the same and in my amp (i must stress this) the Full Music has more that magic dht tone I am chasing for, but its only because the amp's circuit and its operating point is designed around using Full Music at 350v anode-cathode /60ma/5k load at output tran.

On a different amp I may reverse this verdict.

full music is my long term favourite 300b, I use it for more than 5 years, much longer than any other brands I use until I came across psvane. My 300B is biased slightly lower B+ and driven by a single stage of WE 437A, may be this is part of our differences in perceivng difference tubes. To me, full music just has this higher mid magic which attracted me, however, when come to the overall balance and authoritative presentation psvane just come closer to my WE 1990s reissue and thats why I prefer psvane (statement of warning! its all subjective) ..... oh you should have sold your psvane to me... haha... its all funs!

you are now playing your 0.7 watt amp more than any other amps, I bet!

Louis, you are comparing a cream of crop Psvane WE 1:1 300B with a garden grade Full Music 300b mesh, I expect the former should be better too. I lend you my 0.7w and I get your 1:1 , how's that :-)

Oh! I didn't make myself clear? of course I'm talking about the psvane WE 1:1 replica, I never tried other psvane 300b models. Your 0.7 W amp wont be able to drive my speaker, man! I wish I could use your amp, less is more !

I concur with Welborne, I did a test between the Western Electric 300b 59 vintage and 78 vintage, Fullmusic 300b Mesh and Psvane 1.1 WE replica 300b, frankly I have found the closest sound to the original Western Electric 300b is Fullmusic Mesh rather than Psvane WE replica. By all means the Psvane is not a bad sounding tube, it sounds more liked RCA 2a3 DP than the 300b. The Fullmusic Mesh has some similiarity to the original WE 300b, which the Psvane clearly hasn't had. You are using WE 437a application, it certaily helps to create the Western Electric music character, if you use 422a with the Fullmusic 300b Mesh, I think it will sound closer to the real Western Electric sound, furthermore this combination is cheaper than a pair of Psvane.
The 1.1 WE replica is a pair of good tubes in term of sound, but using WE replica is just marketing gimmic to squeeze extra money from consumers.

Wanna try EML too! It has good comments everywhere! The Psvane WE 1:1 is too over-price as a China tubes...

Welborne, I prefer Psvane Mesh 300B over Full Music Mesh in my system. Psvane mesh has more sweet and warm mid freq. vocal.

只是叫做賣到psvane而又不是香港代理攞貨而又有保養比到客～哈哈～
其實咁講～其他品牌我都攞到～fullmusic，金獅，曙光果d都可以做～
但係點解會揀左主打psvane而不做其他？小弟本身開始玩機時都迷信過fullmusic～之後聽過其他～發現psvane是有其可取的～（不是說其他不好聲）不同系列有不同取向～而不是“psvane“就係什麼聲～小弟由其喜歡psvane的網屏及we300b系列～

其實1：1 we300b只是“定價“同“命名“要走外國路線所以先咁貴同用呢個gimmic～好多hifi發燒友都有愈貴愈有market的去勢，是肯定的～其實對於在國內銷貨又或是到小弟處賣～價錢都是可定得很“鬆動“的～（不解釋，有興趣私人pm我）成日有燒友問～同真we300b點比？我話，如果你要買的是真正we300b的聲音～任何一支叫自己是“復刻we300b“的都唔會比到d咩你～換個角度～新膽仲要係大陸膽有咁既質素～咁既聲音～咁既價錢（當然唔係講個定價）真心抵玩～！

d前輩砌開機就明白～配搭不只是用一對膽係“衰聲“定“好聲“～

Honest comment on any WE replica 300B. The Western Electric sonic is unique and can't be replicated.
Psvane 1.1 WE replica has good balance sound, I like it the 1st time I heard, it sounds more liked the RCA 2a3 biplate to my ear, and I just couldn't find any sonic resemblance from the original 300B. Nonetheless it has a touch of vintage old tubes sound which I like. When I asked the price, I walked out of the door.
Though I must admit, the Psvane 1.1 WE Replica probably is the best sounding Chinese made 300B, it is new, we don't know how reliable it is, Qality control, and how long can it last, setting price at this level is crazy. You can't find any relative threads on international forums, therefore this tube is mainly targeted the mainlanders who has the money, and who is ignorant about the WE sound.
I had always wanted to try the EML 300B, but after readings about its durability on some forums I gave up.
When your shop has bigger discount on the Psavane, let me know.
