| [#16] Meridian Friends 同好會 hi csekclee, I believe you've already got one of the marvelous speaker. Reason why it is rare in HK market, I suppose its high price is one of the issue. Of course, active speaker seems not popular in HK except the famous ATC. I'm Meridian lover who own 598, 562, 565. I always day dreaming to own the whole set of active Meridian or Studer/Dynaudio/ATC active speaker. Anyone share your experience? I know that GMC chairman, George own Merdian M60 active speaker & Studer 723 active. In the meantime, he owns Meridian 598, 568.2MM. |

| [#18] Meridian Friends 同好會 Tony, Thanks for your offer and I am interested in trying match of my Merdian DSP with 598 as well for its MHR capability. However, trying some matching like this seriously is by no means an easy task but requires considerable effort for the complexity of retype, reset and firmwire update of the Meridian DSP. It would take me a couple of days of effort for a functional double blind test to distinguish the superior of one over the other which at this moment is a luxury. I will keep your contact and hopefully in a couple of months we can share the experience with each other. Rdgs |

| [#25] Meridian Friends 同好會 I am a user of G08.2 . I have the same problem with you. But I find that the problem lies in the disc-sucking mechanism, not the disc-reading part. On the contrary, I think LPCDs are thicker than normal CDs. The LPCDs get stuck in the middle if you did not push hard enough. When this happens, I have to use another disc as a probe to push the LPCD further inside. Anyway, I seldem use them to play LPCDs now. |
