[#21] 什麼是〝松香味〞？ Violin rosin is resin that comes from pines and other conifers, produced by heating fresh liquid resin to vapourise the volatile liquid terpene components. It is semi-transparent and varies in color from yellow to black. At room temperature it is brittle, but it melts at stove-top temperatures. It chiefly consists of different resin acids, especially abietic acid. Because of its friction-increasing capacity, it is extensively used on violin bows to enhance sound production. Rosin is the substance that a violinist uses to make the hair on his bow sticky. If a bow's hair has never been rosined it will not produce usable sound when drawn across the strings. Once rosined, the hair actually grips the string and pulls it . . . but since the bow keeps moving the string snaps back to its original position . . . where it is caught again by the rosin on the hair and the cycle is repeated. This happens very, very quickly. In the case of your A-string 440 times per second. Without the rosin's grip, the hair just slides over the string and you essentially hear nothing.

唔同松香原來都有唔同聲，最近買舊西德松香給個女用，點知呇悎v話"鐵線聲"，叫我換過另外一隻。唔知D寫手遲D會唔會話某某器材威水到連小提琴手用邊隻松香都分辨得到。

松香除非加熱，否則氣味很淡，唔會有甚麼味。而且松香味無乜特別，唔係特別吸引。絃樂的尾音一般是弓離開絃時最大，關松香井事？
想知道松香是用來做乜？增加Static Friction和Dynamic Friction的差距。當弓的前拉但同時絃線振動時，絃與弓毛的relative velocity有一刻是零，高Static Friction變會令毛拉動絃而do work，當絃被拉離EQ位太多，拉力太大時就break static friction，因為有relative motion所以絃的dynamic friction少於拉力，絃便會振動一個cycle，直至下一次relative motion return to zero。如是者弓便可一路拉，絃一路震。因為static friction較dynamic friction大。in phase的正work done大過antiphase的負work done，絃的amplitude變增加

真是用來增加摩擦力

松香是拉奏小提琴前，塗抹在弓上的塊狀物體，它最主要的作用，是讓弓滑過弦時能平滑柔順，一些音響雜誌評論揚聲器時，經常用到“松香味”一詞，所謂松香味，從狹義來說，是指弦樂器直接發音的擦弦質感；而廣義則是指包括弦樂器發聲後，傳送到四面八方的氣韻。曾經到音樂廳欣賞現場古典音樂演奏的朋友們都會有這種經驗，『現場演奏中的弦樂器，由弓、弦的磨擦聲，到振動共鳴箱的木頭共鳴聲，再加上發聲之後，由音樂廳四周反射回來的殘響，一起產生共鳴，造成了那弦樂特有的美妙音色』。我們能感覺到弓、弦磨擦那種帶有少釣踸E感的松香味，如果再加上弦樂器一起演奏的話，那真可說是會活色生香了。這就是發燒友們所說的“松香味”。

　　大家都知道，弦樂器是靠弓磨擦弦而發聲的，如果直接用弓來磨擦弦的話，由於磨擦力不夠，是不會發出那略帶磨擦刺激感的音色，所以必須在弓上抹上適量的松香，才能產生磨擦力，使弦振動，並經過共鳴箱的共鳴，發出那動人的音色。如果音響器材的傳真度不夠，不能把擦弦的質感完全表達出來的話，則這松香磨擦的質感就會不顯著，弦樂的美感就會降低，導致音染太強，且把自己本身某種粗糙的聲音，加到了弦樂之中，弦樂的聲音則顯得過份粗糙。最常見到的例子，就是一些結構上不夠結實的揚聲器，或者設計不良的 CD 機和擴大機，把器材本身粗糙的聲音加進弦樂之中。所以並不是指聲音愈粗糙，就表示松香味愈多，也愈好，因為那不是原來的松香味。這種弦樂器擦弦的質感，可說是一項重要的聽感指標，所以音響器材能不能呈現出這種弦樂擦弦質感的能力，就成了我們評判的依據。

I thing 松香味 is not talking about the main tone (Hi frequency) of the sound. It is talkng about the very low frequency part with low volume such as "Ka..Ka..Ka.." sound during the 弓 is changing its moving direction.

Its only my opinon. Maybe those C-hing with the ohter idea.

for any phenomenon there can be many theories trying to explain. even in academic circles there are arguments. it is the discussions and repeatable experiments, logics etc to bring out the truth.

propose something without proper backup is futile

個人覺得所謂松香味是重播演奏出來的質感及現場覺. 未聽過近距離現在演奏是很難理解的.

正如人地講"欲仙欲死"一樣, 未試過又點會明白呢.
