| [#5] 關於 b&w 802d 問題 HI joesakic Your decision to upgrade for N804 to 802D has indicated you enjoy the sound characters of the B&W 8XX speakers It is pre-mature to conclude that X250.5 cannot drive 802D. It really depends on 1) what is your dream sound and what do you want to achieve with 802D? which areas you like to achieve better? 2) your preference - high dynamics? pops? classics? easy listening? movies? 3) your listening environment - 802D requires a larger space to breathe and fully stretch its muscle. It could survive with a 200sq. ft room, but it can do a lot better with a 300+ sq. ft room. Also be mindful of the bass energy it is capable to deliver..,(room treatment may be needed) Given the premium quality of 802D, one may argue it deserves a higher grade amplifier - likely high current and high power models to exercise better control - and it could be costly. So my suggestion is to have it run in for 6 months before making addtitional upgrades. Of course, this suggestion is nonsense if you have deep deep pockets...
